2011-2012 Boys Basketball

Welcome to the 2011-12 season! Thank you for your interest in the CCYS boys basketball program. CCYS offers a basketball program that competes against other youth clubs in the Arapahoe Youth League. Participation is available to youth grades 2nd through 7th. New this year is the addition of a 7th grade league. The AYL is sponsoring a New Year's tournament to be held December 31 - January 1.

Games and Practices:
Practices begin in early November and will be held at the Cherry Creek Schools in the Denver Tech Center area on weeknights (usually 2 practices a week). Games begin in early December with a 2 week break over the holidays. The season runs through the middle of February. Games are held on Fridays and Saturdays.

Registration:
The registration process will begin Sept. 1, 2011. The cost for early registration is $175 and will take place from Sept 1 -Oct 20, 2011. After October 20, registration fees will increase to $200, and will be accepted only if there is still space on a team. Cancellation fees are $25.00 up until Nov 1, 2011. After Nov 1, 2011, there will be no refunds for players that decide not to play.

Coaches:
Head coaches are required to submit a Coaches Application by October 31 by email to or by mail to CCYS, P.O. Box 4158, Englewood, CO 80155. If you have already coached another sport in 2011 and have submitted your application, you are not required to submit another one. All coaches need to contact the new Basketball Commissioner, if they are planning on coaching this year.

Uniforms:
New teams to CCYS will need to purchase new uniforms. These uniforms are available at Play It Again Sports. Returning teams will not need to purchase any new uniforms. Please contact the basketball commissioner if you have any questions.

2011-2012 Girls Basketball

Welcome to the 2011 - 2012 season! Cherry Creek Youth Sports (CCYS) 2011 – 2012 Girls Basketball Registration will begin registrations on September 1, 2011. Participation is available to girls in 2nd through 7th grade. CCYS offers a programs that competes against other teams in the Arapahoe Youth League (AYL).

Registration:
The deadline for the early registration fee of $155.00 is October 20, 2011. Late registrations received after October 20th are not guaranteed placement on a team & may be placed on a waiting list. Also a $25.00 late fee is assessed to any registration accepted after October 20th. Players need to register for their current grade as of September 2011. There is a $25 fee assessed on all refund requests up until Nov 1. After Nov 1, 2011, there will be no refunds. If you are requesting to be on a particular team with an assigned coach, please note that information in the special requests area online. If you do not have an existing team to request, we will assign you to a team and you will be contacted by the coach or a representative of CCYS prior to the start of practices in December.

Games and Practices:
Girls basketball is an 8 game season. Games begin the first week in December & run thru mid February. Practice begins early November for all age groups and are usually held on weeknights. Please contact , Girls Basketball Commissioner with any questions you may have.

Uniforms:
Uniforms will be available at Sports Authority Team Sports on County Line Road in November. Please wait to hear from your coach before purchasing your uniform. We cannot have duplicate jersey numbers.
